Exciting News from e-POWER

We’re delighted to share with you some very exciting news about e-POWER: our parent company has just become an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT). This type of business ownership model is becoming more common these days, although its origins go back some years with the first company taking this route being The John Lewis Partnership way back in 1929.

The main advantage of a Trust model to e-POWER’s parent company, NFPAS Holdings Limited, is that it will help protect the company and staff for the long term as an independent business in the North-East of England. It will also help to ensure that e-POWER continues to do what it does best: providing transparent online auctions for buyers and sellers in the UK energy market, while maintaining the independence and impartiality of our auction platforms.

For e-POWER’s trading company, NFPAS Limited, it is business as usual – our buyers and sellers can be assured the change in the ownership structure of our parent company will not impact our auction, billing and settlement activities.

Some further news: we announce the departure of Stuart Stephens, who has decided to step down from his role as Managing Director after 15 years of dedicated service. Throughout his tenure, Stuart has been instrumental in building and growing our business. His leadership, commercial acumen and attention to detail have contributed to the success and reputation of our company.

We are immensely grateful for his contributions and the positive impact he has had on our team and the company as a whole. While we wish him all the best in his future endeavours, we are grateful for his continued support as a Trustee Director of our EOT.
