I particularly like the reassurance that lots of bidders take part every time a PPA comes up for renewal whilst the fact that e-POWER also look after all the billing really reduces the admin burden for my clients. In this auction I sold 20 PPAs on behalf of my clients and all of them are very pleased with the outcome. Some of the FIT generators now have e-POWER PPAs and can come off the lower government export FIT rate. One client in particular, who has quite tight loan finance in place, is now better off by quite a considerable margin. "This is the first time we have sold any of our project PPAs on the e-POWER platform. Monitoring the live bids via the e-POWER viewing portal was a fascinating experience, attracting a surprisingly high level of interest from bidders. The auction for the two sites continued for three days, with almost 40 bids being received between them. The e-POWER auction is a refreshingly transparent process that allowed us to reach many quality bidders and hence achieve very competitive PPA prices. e-POWER has also provided additional services to us during the commissioning phase of new sites, facilitating PPAs in a timely and flexible structure to ensure the energisation process could take place on time."
